Description:
SPECTRAFORCE is seeking a Data Scientist to join our team in Mettawa, IL for a 24-month contract with the potential for extension. This role is responsible for designing, planning, and executing large-scale data analysis and developing algorithms to measure impact using Real-World Data (RWD). The ideal candidate will provide strategic insights for disease areas of interest, leveraging statistical theories, analytical methods, and technical programming skills to analyze clinical, survey, claims, and electronic medical record (EMR) databases.
π Lead analytics for the assigned therapeutic area (TA), mitigating and resolving analytical complexities.
π’ Present findings and insights to various audiences, translating complex data into clear language or visualizations.
π Identify appropriate internal and external data resources to execute strategies and research activities.
π Execute analysis plans and provide consultation on design as needed.
π Develop a standardized coding convention and streamline analytical processes.
π‘ Propose innovative uses of Real-World Data (RWD) to answer strategic business questions.
π€ Collaborate with medical engagement teams, HEOR, and RWE CoE to ensure data-driven decision-making.
π Meet project timelines in a complex matrix structure by developing effective cross-functional relationships.
β Masterβs degree in Statistics, Health Economics, Epidemiology, or related field (PhD preferred).
β 1-2 years of experience in analytics programming (SAS, SQL, R, Python) required. Python and machine learning experience preferred.
β Strong coding and problem-solving skills for programming assignments.
β Experience analyzing large medical claims datasets and real-world evidence generation.
β Ability to perform urgent analyses with short turnaround times.
β Preferred experience in a UNIX/Hadoop environment and production code macros.
β Professional training in a healthcare field.
β Experience with machine learning and advanced scientific analytical methods.
β Ability to collaborate with internal and external partners on joint projects.
