Description:
The Homeland Security Enterprise Division withing the Homeland Security Systems Engineering and Development Institute Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) is seeking an experienced cyber risk management engineer to support direct sponsor work and various R&D programs.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with MITRE staff, individuals within the HSSEDI sponsor, and critical infrastructure specialists to help identify, measure, and mitigate risk to the critical infrastructure sectors.
- Develop risk assessment reports adhering to risk methodology frameworks such as ISO 31000 and NIST RMF.
- Identify risk mitigation strategies that align to risks identified in reports and ultimately serve to protect our national critical infrastructure sectors.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Typically requires 8 years of related experience with a related Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
- Demonstrated experience with risk assessment principles and methodologies such as ISO 31000 and NIST RMF.
- Skilled in applying and incorporating risk and mitigation principles into proposed solutions.
- Ability to work with sponsors, vendors, and partner contractors to gain understanding of sponsor challenges and evaluate possible solutions.
- Possess excellent communications, writing, and briefing skills.
- Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
