Your job responsibilities as an Account Manager:
- Manage client accounts including processing service requests, endorsements, cancellations, and other functions
- Generate and send the required forms to clients during a timeframe deemed necessary for deadlines throughout the crop insurance year
- Key and submit crop insurance paperwork using the company's processing/mapping systems.
- Review the Schedule of Insurance provided by the crop insurance company for accuracy
- Document agency management system and keep accurate/current with activities according to established procedures
- Review of insurance applications and policies to ensure initial compliance and underwriting authority and guidelines
- Providing insurance information and support to Sales Executives in a variety of written forms
- Prepare and compile a variety of insurance-related documents within established procedures
- Key claims into the company processing system and assist claims adjusters and clients as requested in the claims process and only as required by the Risk Management Agency guidelines on MPCI claims
- Assist Sales Executives in managing the renewal process and new business prior to Sales Closing Deadline by providing quotes, applications and other forms needed to complete the sales closing. Will contact clients as requested to set up appointments or answer questions.
- Maintain controls, such as the sales closing checklists, to make sure they include up-to-date information
- Assist the Sales Executive with premium collection and billings issues, by contacting and working with the insurance company
- Maintain positive relationships with our business partners
- Contribute to meeting department sales goals
- Any other duties as appropriate and assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or at least three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience in commercial property and casualty insurance preferred.
- Experience providing risk management services to clients preferred.
- Must obtain and maintain a P&C agent’s license and be aware of licensing rules when working in non-resident states.
- Knowledge of current trends and best practices in area(s) of expertise.
- Knowledge of the insurance industry.
- Knowledge of underwriting, marketing, and sales principles.
- Skill in identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
- Customer service orientation.
- Ability to develop and build strong professional relationships.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple work assignments.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with diverse groups, including coworkers, employees, applicants, and various business contacts at various levels ranging from entry-level employees to senior executives.
