Description:
The Creative Director be comfortable engaging with team members across all levels, including Chewy Executives, Brand Marketing and Creative partners to get content to their highest quality, brand-defining, best performing, and most efficient execution. This position will lead a small and agile team made up of a content creator, writer, and designer, and will also work cross-functionally to use studio resources.
What You'll Do:
- Partner with team members, business partners and executive leadership, representing the social and programmatic team in presentations and strategy discussions.
- Take in requests and strategy guidance from the Social team and lead creative concepting and conceptualization that deliver on the briefs.
- Relationship building – partner with social platform counterparts to ensure outstanding practices, innovation and development to meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Direct the daily creative workflow to support the creative goals and strategic goals of the social and programmatic team.
- Build and drive processes around testing creative fatigue and iterating on social and programmatic content.
- Instill a passion for collaboration and partnership throughout the department! Mentor and encourage all level of creatives on your team in their professional development.
- Collaborate on and guide the day-to-day work of all direct reports, giving them feedback and owning the generation of ideas.
- Stay abreast of trends and technologies in the social media and programmatic spaces and suggest new ways to implement these into our processes.
What You'll Need:
- 8+ years working in a social media and programmatic leadership role. The ideal candidate has been directly responsible for developing branded social creative at an agency, production company or publisher.
- Proven ability developing social creative is a requirement (TikTok, Meta, YouTube, Twitter, Snapchat, etc) – responsible for shaping and owning the creative vision of each project including concepting against briefs.
- Excellent collaborative skills and the ability to balance accountability to multiple team members simultaneously.
- Outstanding time management skills to ensure all deadlines are met.
- Experience taking business goals and translating them into creative projects.
- Outstanding presentation skills – a requirement for both internal and external creative presentations.
- Clearly able to articulate creative expectations; the ability to rally a team around one outcome and objective.
- Knowledge and genuine curiosity about Chewy and e-commerce platforms.
- An ad school or liberal arts (4 year) degree is preferred
- Travel expectation – 10%
- A working understanding of Agile workflows is preferred.
