Description:
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Designs and creates computer-based, web-based, or multimedia-based layouts, graphics, animation, and/or content for use in the MySci lessons for K-5 and 6-8 grade levels.
- Creates Interactive forms and lessons.
- Functions on curriculum teams and independently in the design and development of training materials.
- Works with the curriculum design team to create related course specific collateral, materials and tools.
- Uses graphic design computer software and tools to compose original images for branding, marketing collateral, training material, etc.
- Utilizes design principles, industry best practices and current trends using emerging technologies in new media, particularly design programs such as Illustrator, Photoshop and other equivalents.
- Prepares illustrations, rough sketches or mockups of materials, discussing them with the team leader before proceeding into the final phase.
- Solicits and analyzes feedback to increase effectiveness of design.
- Supports departmental staff in the following applications: Google Suites, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office 2007+.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Graphic Design, Art or Fine Arts.
- Experience in Publication Design, Brand Identity, Illustrations.
- Experience as a photographer.
- Experience designing Google Doc Suites.
- Experience with Web Design/Animation/Video editing.
- Proficient in the Google Suites and Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat Pro, etc.
- Proficient working with Mac operating systems.
- Excellent guest service skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor degree in related field and one year related experience or equivalent education and experience to equal five years.
