Description:
Provide key financial support including internal and external reporting, month-end closing duties, and analyzing and communicating project performance.
What You Will Do:
- Develop and maintain project budgets, including coding timesheets, invoices, and monitoring progress per cost account.
- Support supervision through preparation and maintenance of budgets and forecasts, identifying potential cost overruns, and re-forecasting over-expended accounts.
- Supervise the updating of construction forecasts to reflect the most current cost and estimate information.
- Interface with construction departments to provide cost/budget data for items such as subcontract change requests, bid comparisons, and new work item estimates.
- Ensure project cost activities, including data collection, productivity analysis, and budget forecasting, comply with company standards.
- Prepare and analyze project work-in-progress schedules, collaborating with engineers and project controls on cost estimate adjustments.
- Prepare projections for management to aid in planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combinations of education and experience.
- 5 years of experience in project controls, accounting, or finance.
- 3 years of experience in construction industry.
- Ability to select/apply resource monitoring and control techniques i.e., cost accounting, budget analysis, etc. as well as and understanding of the nature of process systems, structures and construction technology required.
