Description:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work alongside the Executive Director and/or Tournament Chairman to help create, implement, and execute coordination of event; to include, but not limited to: marketing, sponsorships, food and beverage, overall layout of site, special events, and other responsibilities.
  • Serve as liaison between corporate partners, Food and beverage vendors, all vendors on site in preparation for event.
  • Manage and track all marketing inventory and strategies to promote the event.
  • Assist with all vendors and partners on site for installation prior to, during and breakdown after event.
  • Assist with in game star activations from professional players on and off site during event
  • Assist with all fulfillment needs for signage, radio, print, digital and events
  • Assist with corporate hospitality, in-game promotions, special events and other activities
  • Prospecting for potential corporate partners
  • ​​​​​Work with all departments to track and fulfill sponsorship and marketing needs
  • Assist with all other events hosted by company to include junior USTA Events and Pickleball events throughout the year.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in business, sports administration, marketing, advertising or other related field; 1-3 years of relevant work experience (helpful but not mandatory)
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and some holidays
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to take direction and work independently
  • High level of initiative, specifically in the areas of sales generation and process improvement
  • Strong focus on quality of work and attention to detail
  • Able to lead and motivate others
  • Results-driven; willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish the goal
  • Desire to build a long-term career in sports marketing/management
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and multi-task
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Proficient with Serve Tennis from USTA (helpful, but not mandatory)
