Corporate Controller

Description:

Now recruiting on behalf of large PE-backed company headquartered in Atlanta, GA for an experienced VP/Corporate Controller. The company offers a competitive compensation package, the chance to help really build out the accounting function and scale it for ongoing growth, and the flexibility to work both remotely and in the office.

The VP, Corporate Controller will report to the CFO and lead a team of 10-15 staff. Scope of role will include: corporate accounting management, team mentoring/development, financial reporting, Tax management, GAAP compliance, internal controls, strategic leadership, driving process improvements, enhancing system usage, month end close, consolidated reporting, payroll oversight, technical accounting, and accounting policy.

The right candidate for this VP/Controller opportunity will have:

• CPA designation
• Big 4 public accounting experience (with publicly traded clients)
• 12-15+ years of relevant and progressive experience
• Large, public company corporate accounting experience
• Experience leading a corporate accounting function
• Strong mentoring and staff development skills
• Experience with technical accounting and accounting research
• Financial reporting experience (prefer someone with exposure to SEC reporting and/or SEC filing clients)
• Strong systems acumen, including prior experience utilizing large ERP systems
• History of career stability and progression
