We are working with a rapidly growing DC based organization that aims to transform lives and communities through the power of education and employment! They are looking to bring on a new Controller to run the Accounting Team. This role will be responsible for overseeing accounting professionals responsible for both the day-to-day operational accounting along with financial planning and analysis operations including but not limited to: budgeting, management reporting, analyses, forecasting, and internal policies and procedures in order to provide accurate and timely financial reporting. This role will have additional opportunities to support special projects in technical accounting, policy implementation, and systems review & implementation.

Preferred Accounting System: Great Plains

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA or Master's Degree (required)
• Degree in Accounting
• Accounting management of mid-large sized team a non-profit environment
• Strong GAAP accounting and technical knowledge
• Systems implementation experience (big plus)
