Description:
As a Financial Controller, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage the financial operations of the company. You will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and implementing financial policies and procedures.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and forecasts. Monitor budget performance and provide insightful analysis to identify areas for improvement or cost-saving opportunities.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis, including variance analysis, profitability analysis, and financial modeling, to support strategic decision-making and drive business growth.
- Internal Controls: Establish and maintain strong internal control processes to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations. Monitor and enforce financial policies and procedures.
- Credit Agreement Compliance: Assure compliance with the terms of credit agreements and borrowing covenants. Monitor financial ratios and reporting requirements to meet lender obligations.
- Month-End Closing: Oversee month-end closing procedures, including full reconciliation of all general ledger (G/L) balance sheet accounts to detail sub-ledgers. Perform analytic reviews to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
- Payroll and Benefits Processing: Manage payroll and employee benefits processing in accordance with company policies. Ensure proper recording of related transactions in the G/L and financial statements.
- Tax Compliance: Assure timely and accurate filing of state and local tax returns, business licenses, and other required reports and filings. Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
- Inventory Management: Provide perpetual inventory management and control. Ensure item data integrity, proper item receiving and reconciliation, quantity and value data control, and effectively resolve any inventory-related issues.
- NetSuite Administration: Serve as the primary point of contact for all NetSuite-related matters. Configure and maintain the NetSuite system, including setting up accounts, managing user permissions, and ensuring data integrity.
- Driving successful implementation of technology-based projects by representing Finance and fostering effective collaboration with the IT department.
