JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Build existing and prospective customer relationships through caring about their business, with effective listening, conversational understanding, and trust building, all with a sense of urgency and follow-through.
  • Develop sales strategies for each existing and prospective customer.
  • Form and execute a daily plan that includes a defined purpose for all appointments, jobsite visits, and tasks to successfully achieve the Summary Statement.
  • Utilize advance preparation for all appointments and jobsite visits.
  • Review all appointments and jobsite visits to identify the next step.
  • Manage customer base through regular contact.
  • Maintain an accurate customer Truth Sheet to assist in developing new sales strategies.
  • Maintain an active Prospective Account list to assist in developing new sales strategies.
  • Maintain an accurate and active quote log.
  • Demonstrate effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Effectively communicate customer requirements to sales support team.
  • Possess in-depth product knowledge in all Truth Sheet categories.
  • With your location manager, prepare a monthly and annual sales budget and plan.
  • Assist in resolving customer complaints and issues.
  • Assist in accounts receivable collection, on a limited basis.
  • Be willing to work hours required to achieve the Summary Statement, the annual sales budget, and the annual sales plan.
  • Attend and participate in Bloedorn-sponsored training, when offered.
  • Perform additional assigned duties or responsibilities based on individual location requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Contractor Sales Representatives must:

  • Pass a pre-employment drug, alcohol, background screen and Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
  • Speak, write, and communicate effectively in the English language.
  • Possess construction industry knowledge and product knowledge.
  • Interpret written, oral, diagrams, and schedule-form instructions.
  • Calculate figures and amounts (i.e., discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, etc.).
  • Utilize Microsoft Office products (i.e., Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Learn and utilize Envisioneer™ software.
  • Possess a positive, driven, and team-oriented attitude.
