As a consultant or senior consultant at ECG, you’ll be an important part of our consulting team. Your Responsibilities May Include:
- Analyzing, synthesizing, and interpreting data to inform client recommendations.
- Using financial modeling to conduct in‑depth analyses and recommend executable strategies.
- Conducting stakeholder interviews.
- Leading information-gathering efforts.
- Assisting in developing and managing work plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Defining project analyses and deliverables.
- Communicating project progress and seeking input.
- Developing depth in technical expertise.
- Identifying follow‑on opportunities and helping scope and close such engagements.
- Assisting in the design and implementation of recommended solutions.
- Working closely with multiple project teams and ECG senior consulting leaders.
- Taking responsibility for project outcomes.
- Communicating effectively with management and executive-level client staff.
- Learning about ECG’s breadth of solutions and identifying those that reflect your personal and professional interests.
- Participating in peer and junior staff knowledge development and career advancement.
- Demonstrating the ability to excel at consulting while balancing work and your personal life.
- Acting as an ECG ambassador within personal, professional, and alumni networks.
Our Expectations of You
- Graduating with the class of 2024 with a master’s degree in business administration and/or a health-related field
- 3 or more years of applicable professional experience prior to graduate school (e.g., healthcare consulting and/or hospital administration/operations) or a strong business background in strategic operations, finance, or consulting
- Strong knowledge of and passion for the healthcare industry
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Proven track record of solving complex problems and completing challenging projects
- Demonstrated diagnostic, analytical, and quantitative skills
- Track record of strong client service
- Demonstrated career progression with increasing responsibilities
- Strong written and verbal presentation skills
- Ability to travel as needed
