Description:
As Computer Systems Analyst II, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and improving data infrastructure processes, focusing on efficient system performance, data quality, and secure access in support of organizational goals and projects. In this position you will:
- Design and maintain the organization’s bronze, silver, and gold data tables, ensuring optimal data flow and system performance.
- Lead and coordinate efforts to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues within classified and unclassified environments.
- Develop, implement, and refine data pipelines, ensuring seamless integration across multiple data sources and platforms.
- Oversee data quality assurance measures, including validation rules and monitoring, to maintain accuracy and reliability.
- Implement and manage access controls in compliance with security standards, facilitating audits and regular permission reviews.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance AI/ML initiatives, providing data infrastructure support and system enhancements.
- Contribute to pipeline optimization by automating tasks, streamlining processes, and adopting best practice methodologies.
- Provide technical expertise in the setup and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, including automated testing and deployment processes.
- Develop and manage automated unit/integration testing frameworks, ensuring system stability and reducing production defects.
- Support data productization efforts, working closely with product owners to ensure data availability, reliability, and scalability.
- Participate in continuous improvement strategies, identifying opportunities for operational efficiency and data governance enhancements.
- Mentor and guide junior analysts, sharing best practices and promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and professional development.
- Collaborate with security teams to enforce data governance policies and maintain compliance across all system processes.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to document system changes, maintain detailed technical documentation, and facilitate smooth change management.
- Proactively engage with emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance system capabilities and drive innovation within the organization.
- Assist in Incident Response and System Recovery Efforts - Support troubleshooting efforts during system outages, data discrepancies, or security incidents, working with senior analysts to restore operations quickly.
- Support Business Intelligence and Reporting Initiatives - Help develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to provide insights for decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Stay Current with Emerging Technologies and Industry Trends - Research and recommend new tools, frameworks, or methodologies that could improve system performance, data integrity, or automation capabilities
Basic Qualifications:
- As a requirement of this position, all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen. In accordance with 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(2)(C), Epsilon will not consider candidates for this position who do not meet the aforementioned conditions.
- 3+ years of professional experience in IT systems analysis, data engineering, or related fields.
- DOD 8570 IAT Level II Certification may be required (GSEC, GICSP, CND, CySA+, Security+ CE, SSCP or CCNA-Security).
- Advanced proficiency with SQL database systems and data modeling techniques for large-scale data management.
- Demonstrated ability to write clean, efficient code in Python and SQL, with proven experience in building and optimizing data pipelines or analytics solutions.
- Strong background in Agile project delivery, including sprint planning, task tracking, and collaboration using Jira (or similar agile tool), ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and cost optimization.
- Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes and tools, with a track record of designing and managing reliable data pipelines.
- Expertise in CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps), including setting up and optimizing automated workflows.
- Proven ability to maintain data security standards, manage role-based access, and support regulatory compliance in sensitive environments.
- Demonstrated knowledge of automation engineering and scripting in Python for streamlining data processes and system tasks.
- Strong collaboration skills with experience supporting AI/ML initiatives, focusing on data readiness and infrastructure requirements.
- Familiarity with best practice frameworks (e.g., ITIL, Agile) for continuous improvement, operational excellence, and governance.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
