Description:

Incumbents typical work assignments may include the following:

  • Serve as a Principle Architect for the Core Analytics and Executive Decision Support Team based on incorporating Data, Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and DevSecOps principles.
  • Provide technical expertise in current-market technologies to accelerate development, test, and deployment of secure, data and AI/ML-enabled applications to DoD.
  • Develops the CDAO application development strategy and leads its implementation, management, and lifecycle planning.
  • Responsible for designing tools and software to address DoD and CDAO development, test, and deployment use cases based on DoD DevSecOps principles, microservices architectures, cybersecurity standards and API gateway technologies.
  • Collaborates through technical leadership within CDAO Divisions and manages external partnerships with DoD, Industry, and Academic partnerships.

  • A three year trial period may be required if not previously completed a trial or probationary period in the excepted or competitive service.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). A Special Background Investigation (SBI) is required with favorable adjudication by a determining authority.
  • The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays and/ or overtime.
  • Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
