Community Or Sector Expert Trustee

Description:

We are seeking a Community or Sector Expert Trustee to join our board. This role is essential for ensuring that our programs are relevant and effective in meeting the needs of the autistic community. The ideal candidate will have experience in the field of autism or related areas, along with a passion for advocacy and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Provide insights into community needs and best practices in the sector.

2) Assist in developing and evaluating art-based programs for autistic individuals.

3) Support outreach efforts to engage with the wider community.

4) Collaborate with other trustees to align organizational strategies with community needs

Qualifications:

1) Experience working with autistic individuals or in the field of disability services.

2) Strong understanding of community engagement and advocacy.

3) Commitment to the mission of Autistic Community Canvas.

4) Previous experience in a trustee or advisory role is a plus.
