The Global Communications team at TikTok is responsible for all external communications related to the company. We're looking for a strategic communications professional to help us build trust across our content, ad, and commerce policies, products, and safety processes. You'll join our global trust and safety communications team to develop and implement a range of initiatives which demonstrate our commitment to safe, inclusive, and age-appropriate content experiences. We're looking for someone to operate at the intersection of digital advertising, e-commerce, and trust and safety and collaborate with our Trust and Safety, Advertising, E-Commerce, Product, Public Policy, Creator, and Legal teams across a range of topics, products, policies, partnerships, and issues. You should have a proven ability to easily distill and communicate complex issues for a wide range of audiences, and create clear, crisp messaging frameworks, talking points, and other assets that bring our story to life. The ideal candidate has excellent media judgement, the ability to analyze opportunities and risks associated with media inquiries, and the strategic judgment to respond accordingly. You're good at connecting the dots and seeing the bigger picture. You work well under pressure, thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, and you're able to respond to and collaborate on a range of situations with empathy and a people-first mindset.

Responsibilities:
- Develops global communications initiatives to build trust in our content, ad, and e-commerce policies and products.
- Supports and advances TikTok's trust and safety narrative on regulated and commercial goods, advertising, and e-commerce, including the creation of messaging docs, blog posts, speaking materials, white papers, pitches, statements, talking points, and other materials.
- Empower market PR teams to consistently and accurately build trust in TikTok's policies, products, and processes.
- Provide ongoing counsel to a range of trust and safety issues related to advertising, e-commerce, and regulated and commercial goods policies and products.
- Work collaboratively with Trust and Safety, Advertising, E-Commerce, Product, Legal, Public Policy, Creator, and other teams to provide communications counsel and support.
- Support spokespeople in preparation for media interviews, presentations, and other speaking engagements.
- Provide ongoing product and policy risk review and counsel.

Qualifications

- 10+ years of communications experience
- Excellent strategic, analytical, and verbal communication skills
- Experience working on trust and safety issues
- Experience working at a global UGC or commerce platform preferred
- A self-starter who is motivated, takes initiative, and works well in a fast-paced environment
- Strong crisis comms experience preferred
