Communications Manager

Description:

We are looking for someone who has the ability to oversee communications for the assigned area, develop and execute strategic public relations programs and special events plans, and cultivate media relationships. In addition, the Communications Manager manages donor and coordinator recognition programs and may supervise staff in some instances. The role demands strong leadership skills, adaptability, proficiency in communication, a commitment to maintaining the organization's collection goals, strong self-motivation skills, organization, ability to work flexible hours and provide their own transportation.

Knowledge/ Education:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations or Marketing preferred.

Knowledge of the basic principles of marketing and communications required.

Licenses/ Certifications

Valid in–state driver’s license required.

Experience

Four years related experience required.
