Description:
The Huntsman Mental Health Foundation is seeking a highly organized and adaptable individual to fill the role of Communications Coordinator. This unique position requires a blend of administrative acumen and communications expertise. As the Communications Coordinator, you will be responsible for handling both administrative tasks and assisting with communication efforts to ensure the smooth functioning of the HMHF’s operations.
Responsibilities
Administrative Support:
- Provide comprehensive administrative assistance to the Head of Marketing and Communications, including scheduling meetings, developing agendas, managing calendars, and handling correspondence.
- Prepare and organize documents, reports, and presentations for internal and external use.
- Assist in maintaining the foundation’s database, ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of donor and partner information.
- Handle incoming calls, direct inquiries appropriately, and respond to general inquiries about the foundation’s activities.
Communications Coordination:
- Collaborate with the Communications team to execute communication strategies that align with the foundation’s goals and messages.
- Assist in the creation and dissemination of engaging content for various platforms, including social media updates, newsletters, and website materials.
- Monitor the foundation’s social media channels, engage with followers, and provide timely responses to inquiries or comments.
- Support media relations efforts as needed by preparing press materials, coordinating interviews, and tracking media coverage.
Event Support:
- Assist in the planning and coordination of foundation events, workshops, and fundraisers, providing logistical support and ensuring smooth execution.
- Help with promoting events through various channels and handling attendee registrations and inquiries.
Donor Relations:
- Collaborate with the Development team to support donor relations efforts, including donor acknowledgment, communication, and updates.
Office Management:
- Maintain office supplies and equipment, ensuring a well-organized and efficient working environment.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers as needed for office maintenance and support.
Data Management:
- Assist in managing data related to communication and fundraising efforts, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Ability to work unusual hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed to accommodate special events or time-sensitive communication efforts.
- Support the Foundation’s advocacy initiatives and public awareness campaigns related to mental health.
- Collaborate with external partners and organizations to expand the foundation’s reach and impact.
- Stay updated on current trends in mental health, communications, and nonprofit sectors to inform strategies.
