Required Education, Experience, and Skills: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in journalism, communications, marketing, public relations, or related field. Experience or portfolio of work in communication and/or marketing-related field. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate and interact effectively with various stakeholders. Demonstrated experience with various social and new media platforms, including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, and podcasting. Ability to initiate, multitask and complete multiple projects in a fast-paced setting and on deadline. Creative and innovative thinker. Strong organizational skills. Excellent customer service skills in working with students, families, staff, administrators, and the public. Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills: 3-5 years of experience in journalism, communications, marketing, public relations or related experience. Experience in videography (including filming, directing, and editing), podcast development, photography and graphic design. Understanding of the research, planning, implementation, and evaluation components of communications plans. Interviewing skills and knowledge of AP stylebook formatting. Clear understanding of web and social media best practices, including how to implement them. Ability to collect and interpret data, providing recommendations based on these insights. Skill in the use of computer applications, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Google, and Canva. Skill in the operation of digital cameras and video equipment.
