ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Plan and manage employees’ scheduling.
- Learn and implement specifics of the (PWS) Performance Work Statement.
- Establish and maintain a good, professional working relationship with QAE and store management.
- Supervise stocking and janitorial tasks in compliance with contract requirements.
- Collect, maintain, and analyze productivity records for all employees.
- Conduct a “walk-through” with the Commissary QA and make all necessary changes.
- Implement safety regulations and best practices in warehouse environment.
- Follow agency safety calendar including monthly safety committee meeting, safety meetings and emergency drills.
- Attend Leadership and Manager meetings.
- Provide training and supervision appropriate to the operation and effectiveness of the Commissary.
- Complete employees’ evaluation yearly, quarterly and as needed.
- Implement company policies and disciplinary action.
- Participate in staffing selection including interview.
- Implement site specific onboarding procedures.
- Responsible for overseeing, revising and timely submitting employees worked hours, vacation request and sick leave on payroll platform.
- Knowledge of operation of all equipment necessary for janitorial services including propane burnisher, high speed floor care equipment.
- Operate, train, and certify employees on forklift operation and pallet jack; move pallets of merchandise from truck, to staging area or to sales floor.
- Acts as a role model for all employees reflecting Peninsula Services’ mission.
- Work in coordination with the rehabilitation team to promote positive community-based employment opportunities and alternatives for persons with disabilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business or related field and 4 years of supervisory experience in warehouse management or 4-8 years of progressive experience with focus on warehouse operation.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft office.
- Experience with working with disabled population desirable.
