Description:
An established Family Office in Midtown, Manhattan is seeking an experienced Commercial Lease Administrator to manage a portfolio of 30+ commercial office and retail properties. Reporting directly to the CFO, this stand-alone position requires expertise in lease abstraction, amendments, lease accounting, and compliance management.
The ideal candidate will be hands-on in lease administration operations, ensuring seamless rent collection, lease compliance, and financial reporting. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a highly organized, professional environment, overseeing all commercial lease-related activities with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lease Management: Conduct lease abstraction to extract and record critical lease data, including rent schedules, renewal options, and maintenance obligations.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain lease agreements, amendments, and renewals for commercial properties.
- Rent Collection & Compliance: Monitor rent collection, ensuring timely payments from tenants and enforcing lease compliance.
- Audits & Reporting: Conduct lease audits, track tenant obligations, and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with property management and accounting teams.
- CAM & RET Reconciliations: Calculate annual reconciliations for Common Area Maintenance (CAM) and Real Estate Taxes (RET) before submission to tenants.
- Financial Analysis: Generate lease-related financial reports, including rent collection status and lease performance metrics.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in lease administration or real estate accounting.
- Proficiency in Excel and MRI software (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of commercial lease terms, regulations, and legal compliance.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for effective tenant interactions.
- Strong understanding of lease administration processes and lease terminology.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proficient in computer applications.
Salary & Benefits:
- Monthly Salary: $8,333 - $10,000
