Description:
Guitar Center is seeking a Commercial Account Manager to drive sales of high-end audio-visual systems. This role focuses on business development, client relationship management, and sales growth in smart homes, smart enterprises, and smart venues. The ideal candidate will have expertise in AV technology integration and a strong background in sales and business development.
Develop new business opportunities through cold calling, internet research, and networking
Build and maintain client relationships to understand their AV needs and provide tailored solutions
Perform site visits to assess field conditions (measurements, ceiling structure, etc.)
Create initial system descriptions and AV functional diagrams
Collaborate with engineers to finalize technical proposals
Generate detailed sales proposals including project scope, schedule, and pricing
Submit sales order packages, including purchase orders, signed proposals, and equipment lists
Participate in project meetings and oversee proposal development
Develop and implement sales strategies to maintain and grow client accounts
Forecast product demand within the assigned sales territory
Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations
✅ Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
✅ Minimum 2 years of experience in low voltage, audio-video, lighting, or related sales
✅ Proven track record of $2M in annual sales
✅ Ability to meet/exceed an annual sales quota of $1.5M
✅ Willingness to travel as needed for business
