Cloud Platform Architect

Description:

Pathward is seeking a Cloud Platform Architect to own architectural responsibilities and support the implementation of modern cloud platform solutions. The role involves driving the architectural effectiveness of cloud technology solutions while ensuring that the cloud infrastructure meets business objectives. The successful candidate will architect cloud solutions, optimize enterprise infrastructure, and collaborate with various teams to establish best practices and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive the architectural strategy for cloud platform solutions aligned with business goals.

• Develop technology roadmaps to transition from current state to future cloud architecture.

• Architect scalable, secure, highly available cloud solutions meeting business and non-functional requirements.

• Provide mentorship, guidance, and support for Product Engineering teams.

• Evaluate cloud technology, market trends, and identify opportunities for cost-effectiveness, operational efficiency, and automation.

• Promote architecture processes and results to organizational leaders, including security and business stakeholders.

• Provide technical leadership and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement architectural best practices.

• Design logical architecture diagrams to support complex, cross-functional initiatives.

• Contribute to the development of an enterprise knowledge base and create guides on cloud standards and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field (Master’s degree preferred).

• Experience:

  • 12+ years of experience in solution architecture with exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

  • 10+ years leading architecture efforts in complex enterprise environments.

  • 6+ years working with major cloud services providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

  • 6+ years of understanding cloud security principles, secure software development, and incident response.

  • 5+ years of banking or financial services experience (or comparable domain).

• Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).

  • Experience designing secure, scalable, and fault-tolerant technical solutions.

  • Knowledge of cloud security principles, including threat modeling and incident response.

  • Experience with cloud automation and DevOps practices.

• Other Skills: Proven ability to influence and lead architecture initiatives across IT and business organizations.

Salary and Benefits:

• Salary Range: $103,511.83 – $191,170.01 annually, based on experience and location.
