Description:
As a Cloud Engineer IV, you will support and manage the department cloud infrastructure and services, including design and coding solutions. A strong working knowledge of Azure and cloud is required as well as Windows and Linux administration. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated working knowledge of Python, Terraform, Bicep, and Kubernetes.
What you’ll do:
- Design and develop cloud-based infrastructure, applications, and services that meet the organization's requirements. This includes selecting the appropriate cloud platform, creating architecture diagrams, and developing automation scripts.
- Deployment of new applications to the cloud and migrating existing applications from on-premises infrastructure to the cloud. Ensure that the migration process is seamless and does not disrupt the organization's operations.
- Monitor the performance of cloud-based systems and optimize resources to ensure cost-effectiveness and high availability. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Security and compliance implementation and remediation.
- Interact with clients, provide cloud support, and make recommendations based on client needs.
- Review existing systems and make recommendations for improvements.
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. (Required)
- (8) years of related experience. (Required)
- Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms, particularly Azure.
- Experience in designing, developing, and managing cloud-based infrastructure and applications.
- Strong knowledge of Python.
- Strong knowledge of IaC, either Terraform or Bicep.
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, such as continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
- Knowledge of networking concepts, such as IP addressing, DNS, and load balancing.
- Knowledge of Linux.
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes or Docker.
- Strong knowledge of Visio and creating architectural diagrams.
