Client Account Manager

 

Description:

The Client Account Manager is a key member of our award-winning team. They are a self-motivated, community-oriented and thoughtful professional who serve as the primary client liaison for client relationship building, project tactics, and project execution. Their primary role is to lead complex, high-risk, high-profile and/or multivariable accounts and the projects for those accounts from conception to launch, while ensuring client satisfaction through the lifecycle of the project and client relationship. The Client Account Manager possesses expert-level account management skills, enabling them to lead any type of delivery project and cultivate meaningful relationships both internally and externally with minimal supervision. A significant part of their role involves strategically growing current client accounts, serving as an advisor for the clients, and cultivating services for the client and company. This role reports to the Associate Director of Client Accounts within the Business Development Team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of people-facing and account management-based work, campaign management, leading data driven project strategies and superb business management skills, as well as People Management skills to manage the Client Account Coordinators in Client Accounts, within the Business Development Team. The candidate must have previous work experience managing accounts in a marketing or advertising agency setting.

Primary Accountabilities

Deliver and manage high-quality strategic marketing and outreach projects
Drive the definition of project scope, financials, deliverables, and milestones for project implementation
Lead project kickoffs, internal and external status meetings, closeouts, and distribute meeting agendas and recaps
Create and deliver high-quality, on-brand presentations
Interpret financials, distribute project burn analysis, and prioritize budget decisions based on ASGs best interest and on client-centric goals and objectives
Identify client needs and propose actionable and insightful recommendations for new products, extensions, or enhancements to expand the scope of work that improve project outcomes and/or client business issues
Directly manage assigned Client Account Coordinator(s) and ensure their workload and work productivity yields effective and efficient outcomes for the Client Account Team.
Responsible for managing the project change impact analysis process, including handling out-of-scope requests, scope creep, and budgeting, from initiation to completion.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships within assigned accounts ensuring high levels of customer success by ensuring customers are satisfied and achieve their desired outcomes while using company services and products.
Proactively identify and manage risks associated with projects, leading decisions to mitigate potential issues.
Facilitate and contribute to the formulation of innovative strategies aligned with multicultural and diverse audiences and client objectives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts to define project activities, key deliverables, develop comprehensive project schedules, and author project charters that align with client requirements and organizational goals.
Develop and implement effective account plans to retain existing clients.
Create and nurture long-term relationships with clients while collecting client feedback to determine product and service shortfalls.
Resolve conflicts effectively across various dimensions including scope, schedule, resource allocation, budget, quality standards, and communication channels, fostering a collaborative and solution-oriented project environment.
Ensure comprehensive project documentation within enterprise systems, adhering to Client Account Management standards and guidelines and ensuring acknowledgment and accessibility by all relevant stakeholders.
Contribute to the development of compelling campaign proposals and presentations for potential future clients, leveraging insights gained from project experiences and industry trends.
Mentor and provide support in training for Client Account Coordinators, sharing best practices, providing guidance, and fostering their professional growth within the organization.
Perform additional duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to contribute effectively to the overall success of the organization.
Minimum Qualifications

A BS/BA degree from an accredited college/university, with a degree in a related field
5+ years of people-facing and account management-based work, marketing and advertising campaign management
5+ years of leading data driven project strategies and superb business management skills, serving as the clients main point of contact.
3+ years of managing client accounts in a marketing or advertising agency setting
3+ years servings as a trusted advisors to clients, customers, entities on assessments of needs
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, especially during project peaks is required
Ability to travel to attend in-person meetings, internal onsite events, and onsite client engagements as part of duties included in this role.
PMP Certification is a plus
Bilingual preferred but not required, fluent in English and Spanish/Portuguese
