Class Giving Officer

 

Description:

The Class Giving Officer is a member of a team charged with raising over $10M from over 15,000 donors per year for Brown through the Annual Fund from undergraduate alumni and undergraduate students. The incumbent will organize, plan, and implement fundraising campaigns and related events for an assigned cohort of non-reunion undergraduate alumni classes, with a strong emphasis on increasing alumni giving and volunteerism at all levels. In collaboration with a supervisor, the Class Giving Officer will set fundraising goals, recruit and develop volunteers, identify potential donors, and engage alumni in fundraising for the Brown Annual Fund. The incumbent is responsible for securing annual unrestricted leadership-level gifts from Carrie Tower-level prospects and is expected to cultivate, solicit, and steward these prospects through personal visits, phone calls, events, and email correspondence, as appropriate. The incumbent will serve as the secondary supervisor of a Class Giving Associate, providing guidance, feedback, and supporting professional development.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a related field such as fundraising, sales, marketing, volunteer management, nonprofit, or higher education.
