Description:
We are excited to represent a legal services firm in Denver as they seek a Civil Litigation Paralegal to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation and possess the skills necessary to support attorneys in all aspects of case management and trial preparation. This is a hybrid role with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote!
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in all phases of civil litigation, including case intake, discovery, trial preparation, and post-trial proceedings.
- Conduct initial client interviews to gather relevant information and documents related to the case.
- Draft and file legal documents, pleadings, motions, and other court filings.
- Manage document production and discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, organizing documents, and preparing deposition materials.
- Coordinate with clients, witnesses, experts, and opposing counsel to gather evidence and prepare for depositions, hearings, and trials.
- Assist in conducting legal research on case-specific issues, statutes, regulations, and case law.
- Prepare trial exhibits, demonstratives, and trial binders for use during court proceedings.
- Coordinate trial logistics, including scheduling court appearances, arranging for court reporters and interpreters, and preparing trial exhibits.
- Assist with post-trial activities, including drafting post-trial motions, preparing appeals, and enforcing judgments.
- Provide administrative support to attorneys, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and corresponding with clients.
Required Skills:
- 4+ years of experience as a Paralegal handling civil litigation matters.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe.
- E-filing experience is required.
- Experience with case management software.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Paralegal Certificate is a plus
