Description:
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Bridge or Roadway Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing the construction of bridge and/or road projects. This role requires a deep understanding of civil engineering principles and a passion for developing infrastructure that stands the test of time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze structural components and systems for bridges and roads.
- Develop detailed construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and regulations.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to develop innovative and effective solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
- Prepare and present technical reports, project proposals, and progress updates.
- Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Professional Engineering (PE) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on bridge and/or road design.
- Proficiency in civil engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD.Pro).
- Strong knowledge of design standards, building codes, and regulations related to bridges and roads.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
