Luma Group is seeking a highly motivated and strategic Chief of Staff to collaborate closely with the Managing Partner in driving the firm's mission and vision forward. As the Chief of Staff, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Managing Partners in executing strategic initiatives, managing firm and personal day-to-day operations/tasks, and fostering effective communication across the organization. Tasks include coordinating meetings, scheduling, travel & logistics, communications, conducting light research and analysis, and assisting in strategic decision-making and investor relations.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 - 3 years of work experience with a background in Management Consulting, Investment Banking, startups, and/or Venture Capital, with meaningful exposure to internal business operations. In this role, the Chief of Staff will have gained a deep understanding of how to approach and solve complex business problems and will have developed strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Managing Partners to develop and implement strategic initiatives aligned with the firm's investment thesis and long-term goals.
- Operational Oversight: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the firm, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Project Management: Lead and/or support key projects and initiatives, coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring timely execution and delivery.
- Communication and Stakeholder Management: Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and facilitating clear communication.
- Performance Tracking and Analysis: Monitor key performance metrics and provide regular updates to the executive team, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
- Financial Management: Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure effective budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and opportunities, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Special Projects: Lead or contribute to special projects as assigned by the Managing Partners and General Partners, ranging from market research to partnership development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, life sciences, or a related field required.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to inform decision-making
- Strong financial and operational experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization and interface effectively with executive-level external parties
- A proactive and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving, with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects and priorities independently
- A track record of driving results and achieving key objectives through the leadership and management of teams
- A desire to continuously learn and grow, and to contribute to the development of a positive, collaborative culture within the organization

- Experience in the biotech or healthcare industry a plus
