Responsibilities include:

 

  • Leading, mentoring, and inspiring a team of 15 marketing and communications professionals, directly managing 7 senior team members across various functions; growing and structuring this team to take on marketing changes on the immediate horizon.
  • Fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Collaborating with the CEO, internal partners, and external partners to align marketing and communications strategies with organizational priorities.
  • Serving as a strategic advisor to various committees, providing insights and guidance on marketing and communications initiatives.
  • Providing professional development and growth opportunities for team members, ensuring high performance within the department.
  • Developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns to drive awareness, demand, and engagement for core products and services.
  • Overseeing marketing strategies across multiple channels (digital, social media, print, email, etc.), ensuring alignment with organizational goals and brand voice.
  • Utilizing data-driven insights to continuously optimize marketing campaigns and improve ROI by analyzing market trends, feedback, and engagement metrics to drive strategy.
  • Leveraging emerging technologies and AI tools to innovate and streamline marketing processes, content delivery, and engagement.
  • Overseeing sales and marketing initiatives for profit-generating products.
  • Leading the planning, production, and promotion of signature events, including conferences, webinars, and engagement activities.
  • Collaborating with internal and external partners to develop creative event concepts, ensuring all marketing initiatives enhance the event experience and support goals.
  • Overseeing brand development and positioning, ensuring consistency and alignment across all communications and marketing materials.
  • Directing the creation of engaging content for digital channels, including email campaigns, social media posts, blogs, and multimedia.
  • Leading the editorial strategy and production of publications and other member communications.
  • Guiding the strategic use of multimedia content, including video production, podcasts, webinars, and live events, to support engagement.
  • Directing media relations efforts, ensuring effective communication with local, state, and national press outlets.
  • Developing and executing proactive media strategies, including press releases, media outreach, and crisis communication, to protect and elevate the organization’s reputation.

 

 

Knowledge and skills:

 

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Expertise in digital marketing, social media engagement, search engine optimization (SEO), and data analytics.
  • Proficiency with marketing automation tools, content management systems (e.g., Drupal), and social media platforms.
  • Strong ability to analyze market data and leverage insights to develop strategic marketing plans.
  • Advanced project management skills, including experience with tools such as Asana, Zoom, and Slack, and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams, departments, and with external partners.
  • Experience with MS Office and proficiency in macOS software.
