JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Planning, Partnerships, and Alliances

  • Develop and implement a growth strategy that aligns with the organization’s mission and goals, with a specific focus on marketing, fund development, strategic partnerships, and grants.
  • Identify and build strategic partnerships with community organizations, businesses, and other stakeholders to support the organization’s growth objectives.
  • Sustain and grow current contracts that can total at $1M and above.

Fundraising and Revenue Generation

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive revenue strategy for all counties we serve.

Fundraising: Oversee and enhance fundraising campaigns, including major gifts, annual giving, and planned giving.

  • Corporate Partnerships: Manage the identification and establishment of strategic partnerships with corporations to support financial goals.
  • Grants: Collaborate in grant applications and management processes, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission.
  • Special Events: Oversee the planning and execution of high-impact events to engage donors and raise funds.
  • Identify and cultivate new funding opportunities, partnerships, and donor relationships to diversify revenue streams.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to set revenue targets and implement strategies for achieving those targets.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, making data-driven decisions to optimize revenue growth.

Marketing and Branding Strategy

  • Define and lead the overall marketing and brand strategy.
  • Market Research: Lead Senior Director of Marketing in conducting market research and audience analysis to inform marketing strategies.
  • Content Creation: Oversee the development of compelling, mission-driven content for various platforms.
  • Digital Marketing: Oversee the implementation and optimization of digital marketing campaigns, including SEO, social media, and email marketing.
  • Public Relations: Lead the management of media relations and PR efforts to raise awareness and support for the organization.
  • Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all communication channels and materials.
  • Drive engagement and outreach through targeted marketing initiatives.

Program Expansion

  • Identify opportunities to expand mentoring programs and services to reach a broader audience, leveraging marketing and grant resources.

Grants and Grant Management

  • Collaborate with VP of Impact & Research to research and pursue grant opportunities and ensure compliance with grant requirements and reporting.
  • Collaborate with VP of Impact & Research to identify federal and state funding opportunities within the regions served.

Data Analytics and Performance Metrics

  • Use data and analytics to assess the effectiveness of growth initiatives in marketing, fund development, strategic partnerships, and grants, making data-driven decisions.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for revenue and marketing efforts to assess the impact and success of strategies.

Continuously evaluate and adapt growth and marketing plans to meet changing needs and trends.

Reporting and Evaluation

  • Provide regular reports to the executive leadership team and board of directors on progress and outcomes related to growth initiatives, with a specific focus on marketing, fund development, strategic partnerships, and grants.

Team Leadership and Collaboration

  • Build and lead a high-performing growth and marketing team, providing mentorship, guidance, and development opportunities to team members.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the team.
  • Collaborate with the executive team, board of directors, and other key stakeholders to align growth and marketing strategies with the organization’s long-term goals.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners, donors, and community leaders to advance the organization’s mission.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of senior leadership experience in revenue generation, marketing, and strategy development.
  • Proven track record of successfully driving revenue growth in the nonprofit sector.
  • Strong understanding of nonprofit fundraising, donor relations, and grant writing.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to balance short-term results with long-term organizational goals.
