What You Will Be Doing
- Work with the various teams to develop and deploy processes that help standardize manufacturing practices
- Support new production tooling runs at key manufacturing sites
- Identify productivity improvement opportunities and work with the manufacturing sites to implement these opportunities
- Developing standard operating procedures for key manufacturing processes, as defined
- Review the condition of the current manufacturing lines and work with the manufacturing teams to develop and execute equipment/line improvement plans
- Assist the plant teams in reviewing their equipment needs and helping to prioritize these needs for capital planning purposes
- Managing key equipment installations working closely with the manufacturing teams
- Lead systematic problem-solving teams to help identify root causes and permanent corrective actions for the key manufacturing issues
- Provide formal updates and reviews to senior leadership on key projects, tooling runs, and improvement activities that are being implemented
- Share lessons learned and best practices amongst the plants that will benefit from this information
- Drive best practices and continuous improvement through standardized processes
- Manage the Process Optimization Program (POP) in conjunction with other members of the POP team
What You Need for this Position
- 3+ Years of Industrial Process Engineering experience
- Experience with capital planning, project development, and project execution
- Experience and/or familiar with LEAN, Six Sigma, 5s/6s (Continuous and process improvement are very important for this role)
- Bonus:
- Lime, Cement, Minerals, Preheaters, Pyro Processing Background
- BS Degree in Engineering preferred (Chemical or Mechanical degree desired)
