Description:
Job responsibilities:
- Lead productivity projects yielding significant reductions in defects/costs and increased productivity
- Achieving plant targets for SQDIC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Cost) for assigned production assets
- Maintain engineering documents participate in PHAs and execute recommendations to eliminate process safety hazards
- Work on projects that optimize energy consumption and could help in reducing expenses to operate in a 24/7 manufacturing environment
- Perform root cause analysis and implement process changes/control plans to drive continuous improvement
- Utilize Six Sigma tools to drive process improvements
- Execution of Improvement and Control steps in Six Sigma DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve & Control) process for existing plant operations.
- Responsible for accurate production loss data entry into the Attainment system
- Identify process KPIs and work independently or on a team to reduce process variability and waste through process unit operations optimization
- Work closely with other operational engineers to develop and implement innovative engineering solutions to improve OEE
- Utilize the MOC process to manage changes
- Support operations in troubleshooting daily process issues as needed
- Develop new SOPs or update existing ones as needed
You must have:
- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering
- 2+ years of experience in the manufacturing facility
