Description:

The Graphic Designer is a key National Center for Adoption Competent Mental Health Services (NCACMHS) team member responsible for developing and implementing all graphic content. This position is responsible for creating and leveraging digital assets across a variety of social media channels. The Graphic designer is expected to understand and implement a cohesive look and feel across all channels, ensuring it aligns with brand guidelines and team goals. The incumbent must have a combined knowledge of graphic and technical skills.

This role is responsible for the entire process of defining requirements, visualizing, and creating graphics, including logos, layouts, photos, and illustrations. The Graphic Designer is the digital voice of NCACMHS, implementing the communication strategy and content for the program website, Knowledge repository, social media channels, blog content, mobile technology, and print communications. The graphic designer will collaborate with the Marketing Manager and other team members in the creative process.

Note: Must occasionally attend specific agency functions in the evening and/or on weekends. Minimal travel may be required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Responsible for implementing the graphic component of the marketing plan as directed by the Marketing Manager and ad hoc projects.

2. Responsible for managing the digital/print initiatives to support NCACMHS, primarily focusing on the website and social media.

3. Develop, manage, and proactively maintain website content, with responsibility for master scheduling, optimization, and analytics.

4. Create, manage, and grow NCACMHS's presence across social media channels, including but not limited to Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.

5. Use SEO best practices to optimize websites, social media, and other content to build NCACMHS national brand awareness and maintain/grow client base.

6. Establish organizational plans and processes for keeping digital content current, timely, and accurate.

7. Research new technologies/industry trends and make recommendations.

8. Lead digital marketing campaigns to drive product sales and new client enrollment.

9. Develop digital ads and implement A/B multivariate testing.

10. Identify and track key program/platform/campaign metrics and provide analysis to demonstrate goal achievement and areas of optimization.

11. Serve as lead with all third-party digital marketing and web design partners.

12. Responsibility for planning, purchasing, and bid management of online and paid advertising programs and partners.

13. Oversees creating and delivering social and creative assets and copy as needed.

14. B uilds design decks and presents work to a variety of stakeholders (both designers and non)

15. Monitors web and social media analytics on a monthly basis and provides recommendations for optimization.

16. Manages and maintains website content and functionality utilizing a WordPress CMS (content management system)

17. Review graphic content developed and used by partners and consultants when required.

18. Possesses a Strong portfolio demonstrating a strong sense of composition, typography, and layout skills.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Attend a variety and internal and external meetings.

2 . Develop, interpret, and administer policies, procedures, and practices and communicate to relevant internal and external parties as needed.

3. Performs other related duties as may be required .


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field preferred.

2. Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in marketing communications.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

1. Thorough working knowledge of contemporary business offices and the ability to apply the concepts to a non-profit mental health environment.

2. Working knowledge of the general principles of formal Marketing and Communications.

3. Demonstrated expertise in online communications (blogs, online communities) and use of social networking tools- Twitter, Facebook, etc. to promote organizational objectives and increase engagement.

4. Familiarity with WordPress, basic HTML, and content management systems.

5. Familiarity with graphic design software is a plus.

6. Demonstrated proficiency with Windows-based PC environment, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Office tools such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

7. Excellent interpersonal skills, including working with a wide audience of internal and external parties.

8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including writing reports and preparing presentations.

9. Excellent organizational skills, including attention to detail and follow-through.

10. Strong analytical skills to be used to assess research and identify trends, survey data, etc.

11. Good basic arithmetic skills, including attention to detail and follow-through.

12. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment (with off-site supervision).

13. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple and changing demands with diplomacy and decorum.

14. Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with internal and external clientele, all levels of staff and management, existing and potential clients, customers, contractors, vendors, and agencies.

15. Ability to work in and constructively contribute to a harmonious cross-functional teamwork environment.

16. Ability to maintain confidentiality of all information and material.
