With a strong presence and reputation in the NYC dining scene, we have a significant catering business catering to various events and occasions. As we continue to expand and enhance our catering services, we are seeking a dynamic Catering Sales Manager to join our team and drive revenue growth.
Job Summary:
The Catering Sales Manager will be responsible for generating sales revenue for our catering business across all our restaurant concepts. This role will focus primarily on outbound sales efforts, leveraging existing networks and proactively seeking new clients to expand our clientele base. The ideal candidate will bring their own portfolio of clients and possess strong sales acumen coupled with a deep understanding of the NYC hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and maximize sales opportunities.
2. Identify and pursue new business opportunities through outbound sales efforts, networking events, and industry partnerships.
3. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
4. Collaborate with the Corporate Catering Director and other internal stakeholders to create customized catering packages and proposals tailored to client needs.
5. Manage the end-to-end sales process, from lead generation and qualification to contract negotiation and closing.
6. Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify growth opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
7. Provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance reports to management.
8. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and promotional activities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred.
- Proven track record of success in catering sales, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the NYC hospitality industry.
- Established network of clients and contacts within the NYC event planning community.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate value propositions effectively.
- Results-driven mindset with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with CRM software and sales analytics tools preferred.
- Flexibility to work remotely or in a hybrid office environment as needed.
