Calibration Engineer

 

Description:

The Propulsion Systems group at Re:Car LLC is looking for an energetic, fun, organized, experienced Calibration Engineer to join our growing team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to calibrating the propulsion system, learning the propulsion software, perform systems engineering, develop process and tools for calibration.

Responsibilities:

  • Integrate key parts of the software and calibrating various parts for the production vehicle.
  • Prototype vehicle calibration and support.
  • Translate vehicle requirements/functional objectives and formulate development and testing plans.
  • Work suppliers (through Development Phases Alpha, Beta, PV, Product intent) and teams (Chief Engineer, architecture, purchasing, program manager, and quality engineers) to ensure the successful launch and release.
  • Define, execute and supervise design verification plans (DVP) and reporting
  • Support production ramp and field issue resolution
  • Provide program deliverables on time per major development milestones
  • Calibration change management (documentation of calibrations and changes)
  • Execute programs through the development process that meet or exceed objectives for performance, drivability and customer satisfaction

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related engineering field
  • Minimum of 5 years in relevant experience (propulsion controls, calibration, and/or testing)
  • Ability to review software documents to learn and understand software.
  • Demonstrated experience with calibration and DVP&R through the complete product cycle
  • Experience in problem solving
  • Strong technical research and writing skills
  • Strong communication skills
