Cad Technician

Description:

A CAD Technician is needed in Princeton, IA to support project planning, engineering studies, and 3D simulations for vehicle assembly. The role involves working with internal and external groups, including Toyota's North American Manufacturing Centers (NAMCs), Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC), and other key divisions. Travel of up to 20% may be required, including trips to Japan.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Planning Support (20%) – Assist in planning for model changes in upcoming projects.

• Simultaneous Engineering (40%) – Conduct data management and studies for vehicle assembly.

• 3D Studies & Simulations (40%) – Perform 3D assembly management, FEA analysis, layout updates, and simulations.

• Collaboration – Work closely with Toyota divisions, support shops, and engineering teams.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, Computer Integrated Technology, or CAD.

• Strong communication skills (written & verbal).

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and at least one of the following: CATIA, SolidWorks, or Inventor.

• Expertise in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).

• Familiarity with drafting techniques and engineering terminology.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

• 3D Printing experience (personal or professional).

• Fluency in 3D Scanning Technologies.

• Ability to travel up to 20%, including to NAMs and Japan.

• Valid Driver’s License & Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record required.

Preferred Qualifications (Bonus if You Have):

• FEA Certification.

• CAD Certification.

• 3D Modeling or Simulation Certifications.
