Cabinet Designer

 

Description:

Meet with prospective and/or existing clients in the store showroom and/or jobsite to plan, estimate, and create designs (kitchen, bath, etc.).

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Create and deliver bids, takeoffs, and/or price lists to clients in a timely manner.
  • Create and complete design requests for clients in a timely manner.
  • Read and interpret original concept drawings and/or blueprints.
  • Communicate with customers, salespeople, and contractors.
  • Create layouts using 20/20 design software.
  • Attend and participate in Bloedorn-sponsored training, when required.
  • Perform other assigned duties, responsibilities, or tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A Designer must:

  • Complete and pass a pre-employment drug, alcohol, and background screen.
  • Speak, write, and communicate effectively in the English language.
  • Interpret written, oral, diagrams, and schedule-form instructions.
  • Calculate figures and amounts (i.e., discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, etc.).
  • Utilize Microsoft Office products (i.e., Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Utilize 20/20 design software.

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
A Designer will:

  • Work in both an indoor and outdoor setting.
  • Occasionally lift/move objects up to 50 pounds, stand, and walk.
  • Regularly sit, use hands, reach with arms and hands, talk, and hear.
