Business Tax Director

Description:

As the Business Tax Director, you will oversee the business tax department as they prepare and file federal and state(s) business and other related tax forms. You will manage the department, provide clients with tax guidance and planning, and assist with various research projects throughout the year. We serve a wide variety of industries including but not limited to: real estate, construction, manufacturing, and service industries.

What You Will Be Doing
 

• Meet goals set by president including financial targets, operational targets, employee performance
• Oversee the preparation and review business and individual tax returns
• Research business tax issues as needed
• Maintain an understanding and knowledge of changes in tax law by reading professional literature or attending tax seminars and training courses
• Consult with clients to develop a basic understanding of their financial affairs and the scope of their tax liabilities
• Proactively identify and communicate opportunities for client and firm process improvements to enhance efficiencies based on knowledge gained relative to each client's operations, processes, and business objectives
• Work directly with firm leadership regarding oversight of the Business tax team
