Description:
An asphalt business development specialist is responsible for promoting and selling asphalt products to customers. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with clients, generating leads, negotiating contracts, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Asphalt business development specialists work closely with asphalt manufacturers and/or suppliers to deliver high-quality products and to meet sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales and Business Development:
· Identify and target potential customers in the construction, property managers, building owners facility managers.
· Generate leads through networking, cold calling, attending trade shows, and other marketing strategies through Cassidy team.
· Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and maximize revenue.
· Build and maintain relationships with existing and new customers to ensure customer loyalty and repeat business.
· Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities.
2. Product Knowledge and Presentation:
· Acquire in-depth knowledge of asphalt products, including specifications, applications, and benefits.
· Educate customers on the features and advantages of choosing to work with the Cassidy team.
· Provide accurate and timely information to customers regarding pricing, availability, and delivery schedules.
3. Customer Relationship Management:
· Understand customers' needs and requirements and provide appropriate solutions and how we can help them.
· Collaborate with customers to develop customized asphalt solutions to meet their specific project requirements and budgets.
· Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
· Maintain regular communication with clients to foster long-term relationships and identify upselling or cross-selling opportunities.
4. Contract Negotiation and Management:
· Prepare and negotiate sales contracts, ensuring terms and conditions are favorable for both the company and the customer.
· Collaborate with internal teams, such as production, logistics, and finance, to ensure smooth order processing and timely delivery.
· Monitor contract execution, ensuring compliance with agreed-upon terms and customer expectations.
· Proactively resolve any issues or disputes that may arise during the contract period.
5. Sales Reporting and Analysis:
· Maintain accurate sales records, including customer information, sales activities, and revenue data.
· Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis for management review.
· Monitor sales performance against targets and implement corrective actions if necessary.
Qualifications and Skills:
· High school diploma or equivalent (bachelor’s degree in business or related field is an advantage).
· Proven experience in sales, preferably in the asphalt sector.
· Strong knowledge of asphalt products and their applications.
· Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
· Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with customers.
· Self-motivated and results oriented.
· Good organizational and time management skills.
· Proficient in using computer skills.
· Valid driver's license and willingness to travel is required.
