In this role, the BDR will contribute to business growth by researching potential deals, setting outbound appointments, and developing relationships with prospects. The position involves leveraging Salesforce.com to manage leads, report key metrics, and collaborate with experienced business development professionals to grow the sales pipeline. This role reports to the SVP Business Development.
What You'll Do
- Conduct thorough research on potential deals, prospects, and markets to identify business opportunities.
- Work closely with senior business development leaders to collaborate on strategy and outreach efforts.
- Set outbound appointments with potential clients, ensuring a steady flow of leads into the sales pipeline.
- Manage prospect information, interactions, and tasks in Salesforce.com, ensuring accurate reporting and tracking.
- Develop relationships with prospects through outreach and follow-up communications.
- Use critical thinking skills to identify the best approach for engaging with new clients and creating sales opportunities.
- Stay informed on industry trends, particularly in the tech and internet technology space, to help identify high-value opportunities.
- Maintain a high level of business acumen, understanding reporting metrics, and the overall sales process.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Who You Are / What You Bring
- 1+ years of professional experience, preferably in a customer-facing or sales role.
- Degree in a related field preferred or equivalent experience.
- Strong research, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- A passion for meeting new people and developing relationships with clients and prospects.
- Strong interest in business development, tech sales, and understanding internet technology trends.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and thrive in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
- Experience with Salesforce.com or similar CRM tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.) is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Ability to work across time zones as part of a global organization as needed.
