We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Business Development Representative to join the national team at Break Through Tech. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in our expanding our network across sites and programs by identifying and engaging potential industry partners. As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for strategic prospecting and cold calling to generate new conversations with target industry partners. As the first point of contact for inbound inquiries, you will be responsible for qualifying new leads and assigning them to the right team for follow-up conversations. You will support the business development team to nurture and cultivate relationships with industry partners. As the Business Development Representative, you will play a critical role in contributing to the overall success of the Break Through Tech organization and its mission to achieve gender equity in tech.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in business development, or a related role within a service-oriented organization.
  • Strong understanding of B2B sales cycles and the ability to navigate complex conversations.
  • Passionate about working in an organization that values and promotes diversity, equity, inclusion, anti-racism, and workforce development.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey value propositions and build rapport.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to establish credibility and trust with potential clients.
  • Results-driven mindset with a track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and sales automation tools.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Experience in and/or demonstrated commitment to supporting diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and wellbeing.th people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
