The Business Development Representative will be a pivotal force in creating new sales opportunities to bolster the growth of our Sales Team. We are seeking an ambitious, proactive individual who can efficiently scout, and nurture new business leads from various sources like inbound marketing leads, current customer prospect lists, novel account lists, and dedicated research.
In this hunter-style role, the individual will significantly contribute to our regional business development by supplying the Sales team with a steady stream of opportunities in emerging markets. We need a dynamic, relentless professional with a knack for connecting with new decision-makers in uncharted accounts. A spirit of collaboration is equally important, as this role requires a seamless synergy with other internal teams.
Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop new business via telephone, email and online communications.
  • Follow up on leads and conduct research to identify potential prospects.
  • Lead Generation & Account Development: Utilize a combination of strategic cold calling and networking to reach decision-makers in potential novel accounts, uncovering new sales opportunities within both established and emerging markets.
  • Sales Collaboration: Collaborate closely with our Sales and Marketing teams to develop and execute strategies for entering and expanding in identified expansion markets.
  • Customer Relationship Building: Build and nurture relationships with new and existing customers, understanding their needs, and aligning Sonosite’s offerings to meet these needs. Identify key buying influencers within these prospects to determine budget and timeline for better follow up by the Sales Team
  • Work with the Senior Manager of Inside Sales, along with the Business Development Level II representative to develop and grow the sales pipeline to consistently meet quarterly revenue goals.
  • Manage data for new and prospective clients in Salesforce.com, ensuring all communications are logged, information is accurate and documents are attached.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor Degree/Associates Degree or significant related experience
  • 1-3 years telemarketing and/or inside sales experience
  • CRM Experience preferred (Salesforce.com recommended)
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and/or exceed determined lead/sales and activity quotas
  • A proven track record of strong client relationships
