Description:
In this role, you will
- Develop and implement strategic business development initiatives that scale through Milestone’s more tactically focused sales efforts to drive end-user acquisition and expansion in the Cities vertical in North America.
- Establish and cultivate relationships and opportunities with the decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders within the target vertical; ensure a deep understanding of the vertical client’s objectives and challenges.
- Support Marketing and Communications teams with the insights, strategies, and narratives needed to build a comprehensive sales and marketing program supporting vertical initiatives through clearly written business cases.
- Identify vertically aligned solutions and collaborate with key Community Technology Partners who provide integrated solutions that extend, enhance, and further empower the value of Milestone in the vertical.
- Assist in the development and delivery of effective narratives and joint-value propositions targeting specific vertical client challenges that have the highest impact.
- Be the voice and face of Milestone in the vertical community by presenting, evangelizing, and executing on narratives that speak to Milestone’s ability to align and solve challenges within the vertical.
- Participate in all beneficial industry shows, events, meetings, associations, and boards to promote Milestone as a leader in the vertical, along with our culture and partner-driven mindset.
- Serve as the primary liaison and subject matter expert in the Cities vertical.
Required Qualifications, Skills, & Competencies
- Minimum 10 years of current experience and deep relationships within the Cities vertical; especially related to safety, security, compliance, and risk management.
- Minimum 3 years experience in physical security and/or enterprise technology sales or business development
- Experience building strategic partnerships and alliances within the technology or vertical industry.
- Proven track record of building business cases for vertically aligned solutions that accelerate growth through a focused approach.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills

- Ability to work virtually and collaborate internally and externally using technology, including but not limited to, project management software, CRM software, virtual meeting programs, and Microsoft Teams
- Ability to travel and effectively develop business across multiple regions.
- Experience with leading sales tools like Salesforce and Power BI
