Description:
Assists and contributes to the activities of the sales operations team by developing and maintaining relationships with transportation customers and securing additional business from the transportation industry to increase revenues and profits and ensuring that all new business meets the guidelines set forth in the strategic business plan and corporate business model.
Qualifications required:
- BA/BS degree and four (4) years of business to business sales experience in the transportation market, an Associate’s degree and six (6) years of business to business sales experience in the transportation market, or a high school diploma with eight (8) years of business to business sales experience in the transportation market
- Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office Suite
- Remote work location opportunity, with the understanding that travel to Corp office (Houston) on an as needed basis will be required.
Qualifications desired:
- Consultative selling approach experience
- Experience in selling driver safety compliance services including drug testing, background screening, and driver qualification file management services.
- Knowledge of and understanding of the necessary Employee Screening requirements in the Transportation industry. Proficiency in this area is required to best accommodate this role.
- Microsoft Dynamics / Salesforce software experience
Essential functions and responsibilities:
- Develops, manages and executes the sales process to include marketing, lead generation, prospecting, proposal strategy and development, negotiation and sales closing
- Identifies new business opportunities to grow sales and develop DISA’s footprint in the transportation market that complement the company’s mission and goals
- Contributes to the achievement of DISA’s objectives
- Sells DISA solutions and products, builds and works a large sales pipeline through cold call activity and networking, and performs inside or outside sales.
- Meets with prospective clients to explain services, cost and advantages
- Participates at national industry related trade shows to explain company services
- Educates small or large groups of prospects and customers on DISA’s multiple services and products
