Business Development Manager

 

Description:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

− Develop business by creating partnerships with Class 7 & 8 Heavy Duty Truck fleets that enables insight to their needs and delivers our solution

− Identify targeted customers using external resources, fleet websites, trade shows, internal lead generations and your market knowledge and contacts

− Efficiently plan travel schedule to optimize effective sales call frequency, exposure and contact with potential customers

− Conduct both planned sales calls and cold calls to identify decision-makers, define current consumption, and sources and resolve current maintenance and supply challenges

− Plan and conduct extensive follow-up in the business development process

− Initiate action plans to overcome objections in order to close the sale

− Achieve monthly sales targets by adding new customers and winning fair share from existing customers

− Maintain customer satisfaction to maximize retention and increase sales and profit

− Collaborate with internal support teams to discuss customer feedback, needs, and strategic ideas

− Manage financial performance of the business

− Review market information, sales patterns, prospect development status, and growth projections to forecast sales outlook

− Participate in targeted state trucking associations and industry trade shows for customer and prospect development

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience:

- Bachelor’s Degree in in Business, Engineering, or any related discipline

- 3+ years of business development experience in the truck/bus/off road equipment/industrial aftermarket or related sales experience

Required Skills:

- Technological and business competence in eCommerce solutions and services

- Proven track record of closing sales and developing business

- Strong knowledge and execution of successful development strategies in an entrepreneurial / start up environment

- Experience working in a cross-functional team in an evolving business environment

- Creativeness and ability to generate new business opportunities in the heavy-duty truck marketplace

- Openness and good communication skills, along with the ability to work in flexible team structures adapting to project, strategic and corporate targets

- Business acumen and entrepreneurial mindset/skills

- Flexible and self-driven working attitude: agile and responsive to change

- Focused and goal-oriented

- Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and presentation communication skills

- Strong Organizational skills

- Results-driven mentality, with a bias for speed and action

- Ability to achieve decision making commitment from customer

- Working knowledge of CRM software

- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

- Ability to travel 80% or more (Domestically)
