Your main activities and responsibilities will include:
- The proactive identification, pursuit and acquisition of new and additional retail and lifestyle customers, selling all available Maersk products
- The thorough qualification, pursuit and acquisition of accounts assigned
- Develop your business plan designed to exceed your sales targets
- Engage in new strategic relationships with brands in the vertical
- Identify customer needs, opportunities and key buying factors for pursuits, and formalize those strategies into account plans
- Create and manage pursuit plans
- Build and execute winning account strategies and proposals
- Define the client centric value proposition and work closely with local product organization to deliver new revenue
- Identify and share customer strategies with relevant internal stakeholders to ensure product development is aligned to changing customer needs
- Enter and maintain sales activities in Sales Force.com, SFDC
- Represent Maersk in relevant industry, vertical and marketing events
- Utilize the best appropriate methods to connect with clients and win business: in person travel, video calls, phone calls and email communication.
We are looking for someone who -
- BA/BS in Sales & Marketing, Business or related field
- Minimum 3-5 years in direct sales as a hunter.
- Minimum 3 years B2C sales experience
- Is a true self-starter, motivated and performance driven
- Owns responsibility, strategy to tactics – you manage pursuits and your business plan like they are your own business
- Curious and pro-active
- Can successfully navigate and prioritize your activities in a large, regimented organization, with a non-traditional, creative role
- Thoroughly understands and uncovers customer drivers, needs and requirements
- Has strong negotiation skills
- Has excellent verbal and written presentation skills
- Adeptly manages stakeholders
- Has extensive logistics product understanding and ability to use variety of products to solve customer challenges
- Logistics expertise – including industry insights
- Has good knowledge about market, competitor and industry trends
- Strong and current knowledge of technology platforms, MS Office products, and ability to quickly adapt to new software.
- Consultative selling is preferred.
