Description:
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for prospecting new businesses and partnerships for our sales-focused training offering “AIM for Sales”.
Seeking a motivated and self-driven individual with a passion for sales, business development, customer service, and collaboration. Remote position, with occasional onsite team meetings (typically in the Chicago, IL area) along with potential travel to industry events and annual meetings.
Reporting to the EVP of Global Business Development, the successful candidate will manage and drive business through the following:
- Drive and sign new business clients and manage their Pinnacle learning journey.
- Under the direction of EVP of Global Business Development, identify potential business partners to drive new business and penetrate industries.
- Prospect and target key decision makers at F1000 and mid-market companies to introduce and sell Pinnacle Sales product offerings utilizing applications such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Waalaxy.
- Lead and facilitate prospective client meetings to review and discuss their sales training and learning requirements, identify presented and undiscovered training needs, and present the optimal Pinnacle learning solution.
- Successfully convert leads into clients.
- Serve an integral role in sale-focused campaigns to source additional revenue opportunities. This includes partnering with the Marketing team on various campaign strategies to drive engagement within new industries and target markets.
- Meet with clients for debriefing to uncover additional training opportunities and ways to improve client experience.
- Utilize a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to manage active and prospective clients.
- Utilize Asana to manage client learning journeys and collaborate with other Pinnacle business units.
- Utilize Pinnacle’s Learning Management system (LMS), to monitor client training progress and activity. Recommend additional opportunities and methods to engage training participants in the Pinnacle Learning Journey.
Knowledge, Skills, and Expectations:
- 2 – 4 years of applicable sales experience required.
- Highly self-motivated and organized with strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills for both internal and external meetings.
- Customer-centric attitude with the ability to engage prospects and utilize strong active listening skills.
- Warm engaging personality with a passion for supporting both clients and co-workers.
- Technical aptitude with excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Strong awareness of the sales industry, competing sales strategies, and market trends.
- Ability to take direction, drive results and understand how to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Willingness to be flexible as priorities change.
- Excellent written business acumen.
- Strong problem-solving skills, good judgment, and the ability to take initiative, investigate and learn.
- Strong administration, organizational, and time management skills.
- Familiarity with Customer Relations Management (CRM) and Learning Management Systems (LMS) is recommended.
- Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator is a plus.
