Description:
As a Business Development Manager, you will be part of the Business Development Team and will have the opportunity to hunt for, engage, contract, and develop new customers. The role will work closely with CSV’s commercial and operations teams as well as with other PPG Business Units such as Auto OEM, Mobility and APA. Success in the role will be measured primarily through organic growth, pipeline conversion rate and segment diversification. This role is remote-friendly and reports directly to the Business Development Director.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement customer relationship penetration strategies
Identify, prioritize, and pursue new sales opportunities
Build winning value propositions leveraging both CSV and PPG’s portfolio
Partner with regional commercial teams to prospect and win opportunities
Partner with Auto OEM, APA and Mobility business to present comprehensive solutions
Mobilize functions to win business
Communicate status of opportunities across regions and functions within PPG
Understand customer values, competitive landscape, and PPG’s relative advantages
Coordinate PPG’s cross-functional support of customer launches and issue resolution
Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to sell into new customers /markets
B.S. / B.A. in Engineering or Business
5+ years of customer facing commercial experience
Travel >50% domestic
Prior coatings experience is preferred
Experience selling into the Automotive, Industrial Manufacturing, or Mobility industries
Cultural sensitivity – ability to sell to a diverse customer base across many regions
Located near a major Industrial Manufacturing region in the US
