Business Development Manager

Are you someone who is excited to jump into a hands-on role at a fast-growth, mission-oriented company? In this role, you'll be responsible for acquiring B2B2C clients as part of Medley's broader membership vision.

You'll work closely with our Head of Business Development & Marketing to build and create a world-class business development lifecycle to continue to grow our partnerships.

You will

  • Collaborate with the CEO and Head of Business Development & Marketing to continuously refine Medley's B2B2C go-to-market sales strategy and value proposition
  • Define and manage strategy, analytics, and execution to continuously generate leads and optimize a replicable Prospecting pipeline conversion process (note: our CRM is Hubspot)
  • Conduct cold and warm outreach to prospective partners (mainly HR / people leaders) across industries to attract interest
  • Own developing, organizing and executing Enterprise / Strategic partnership proposals to drive conversion
  • Define goal-setting and KPIs (i.e., conversion, retention, etc.) to measure success
  • Identify and execute on opportunities to optimize sales renewal cycle and create a more 'evergreen' B2B membership sales process and experience (e.g., self-serve dashboards for partners)
  • Keep a pulse on growth opportunities and competitive landscape

Your skills and experience

  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of relevant Sales and Business Development experience
  • Exceptional and professional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly-developed interpersonal and client-facing skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills to meet goals and prioritize
  • An entrepreneurial spirit or background, proactive and comfortable with ambiguity
  • Technical skills & understanding of business development lifecycles required to create proposals and find solutions to meet partners / client requirements (nice to have: prior experience with Hubspot)
  • The ability to understand the changing dynamics of a client / partnership opportunity and the teams that are required to win and grow the opportunity
